Stick  (1860 – 1890)

This architectural style is said to be transitional between the Gothic Revival and subsequent Queen Anne.  Rooflines are steep and cross gabled.  Decorative trusses adorn the gable peaks. Rafters in the eaves are exposed.  Clapboard or shingle walls are decorated with raised boards in horizontal or vertical patterns.

There are a few Stick homes in the Port Huron area.
